EDWARD HOWARD PROMOTES EMILY LAUER TO VICE PRESIDENT

  CLEVELAND, OHIO, JUNE 30, 2008 – Edward Howard, the longest-established independent public relations firm in the nation, announced today that Emily Lauer, APR, has been promoted to vice president of the firm.

Lauer, who works in the firm’s Cleveland office, specializes in marketing communications, media relations, spokesperson training, public affairs and special event coordination. She is responsible for supervising work for several significant Edward Howard clients, including: Wal-Mart, Huffy, TTI Floorcare/ Hoover, Kidde and Nokia.

Before joining Edward Howard, Lauer was an account executive at Wyse Landau Public Relations, and interned at United Way of Lake County and The Lubrizol Corporation. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University. She is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America.

Highly active in the community, Lauer is a member of the Associate Board of Shoes & Clothes for Kids, a board member and officer of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and is a 2003 graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders. She previously served on the marketing committee for the 2004 International Children’s Games and as co-chair of City Year Cleveland’s annual fundraiser.
